Biologize the Future.
The convergence of biology and technology is expanding the limits of what's possible.
Our generation has the opportunity to use the power of biotechnology to build more just, sustainable, and prosperous biofutures for all.

As a biofuturist, explorer, and ecosystem builder, I aim to provoke change and build platforms to accelerate the transition to a new bioeconomy from the Global South.

It's Time to Biologize the Future.
Our current productive and economic model is leading us to a breaking point . We face a climate crisis and deepening social inequalities. This is why we must urgently reimagine our models of development and progress.

This is the imperative to "Biologize the Future"
An unprecedented convergence of biology and technology is happening now:
-
The cost of DNA synthesis is plummeting, while our capacity to "write" life's code scales exponentially.
-
AI/ML tools are evolving from predicting protein structures to enabling de novo design of entirely new biological functions.
-
Multiplex gene editing and automation allow us to execute these complex designs.
-
Decentralizing biomanufacturing means we can soon produce these solutions anywhere.
This convergence is the toolkit for a new biosynthetic and symbiotic economy.
The opportunity for the Global South goes beyond our immense biodiversity. The real opportunity is that this new technological convergence gives us the tools to understand the richness of our biological resources. It allows us to move beyond being a mere supplier of raw materials and become designers, learning from our biodiversity to co-design and co-evolve with nature.

But this window of opportunity is closing fast. To seize it, we must act decisively. We must:
-
Accelerate the development of human talent.
-
Strengthen our capacities for anticipatory governance.
-
Boost the creation of new bio-startups.
-
Foster a widespread culture of science and innovation.

My Work
I am a biofuturist, strategist, and ecosystem builder working to unlock the power of science and biotechnology to shape more just, resilient, and inclusive futures.
For over 13 years, I have worked as a strategist and translator at the intersection of biotechnology, public policy, and education. A single provocation has driven my journey: unlocking the potential of the Global South to move from being a spectator to a protagonist in its own bio-revolution.

I have designed global education programs for thousands of students (iGEM, Allbiotech), built anticipatory governance frameworks for 250+ policymakers (UNU-BIOLAC), and built the largest network of young biotech leaders in Latin America. This experience has uniquely positioned me to build the ecosystems that will power our transition to a bio-based future.

This experience has provided the blueprint. I am building the ecosystems to power our bio-based future, but this mission is too large for one person. My question to you is: how will we collaborate to accelerate this transition?
